Itinerary

Today we will pick you at 7.00am from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. You will use modern air conditioned 4X4 or minivan with a professional and experienced driver who is also speaking fluent English and acts as guide during your journey.

We head towards the popular city of Ouarzazate with amazing panorama of the high Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m) and admire the landscape of Berber villages with short photo breaks, Then you continue to the fortified city of Ait Benhaddou, UNESCO World Heritage site (1987) and the most spectacular Ksar in all of Morocco. The Kasbah was built by mud and home of Pacha Thami El Glaoui. The kasbah was used as a backstage for more than 20 famous films, including: Gladiator, Indiana Jones, Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones. After the Kasbah visit then it is time for lunch.

After lunch we will continue to Ouarzazate, the Door of Desert, for a little break to take photos or visit the Kasbah of Taourirt then we drive to the Dades Gorges via the oasis of Skoura and pass through the Rose Valley (the seasons of roses is in in late May) to reach your hotel in Dades Gorge enroute you will see really amazing landmarks: authentic Kasbahs, berber villages, nature, palm oasis… (Total: 4.5 hours driving)

After breakfast, you will visit Dades gorges, taking the road of 1000 kasbahs drive around the colourful Berber villages of the Dades valley to reach Tineghir with it's beautiful palm grove. We will continue to the Gorge of Todra, the highest and impressive gorges, where you go on a trek along the canyons of about 300m high, a preferred place of mountain climbers. You will have your lunch enroute of oasis of Tinjdad.

Afterwards we will head to Erg chebbi dunes in Merzouga Sahara Desert. Arrive in Merzouga before sunset and then go by dromedary camel 45-60 minutes, into the Erg Chebbi Dunes to camp. Sunset in Sahara desert is an amazing highlight of trip with ever-changing color of Erg Chebbi Dunes with azure sky. Sahara Desert will offer full of surprises. (Total: 4.5 hours driving)

The berberi guides of camp, they will wake up you very early morning to enjoy the sunrise over golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment of Merzouga desert. You will have delicious breakfast after sunrise, then you will have camel ride back to meet your driver and drive back the same way to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains. (Total: 9 hours driving)
